Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps is a unique organization with the integration of party, government, army and enterprise. Since its foundation in 1954, it has assumed the historical task to open up wasteland and garrison the frontier. In constructing and defending border areas, reinforcing national defense as well as strengthening ethnic harmony, the corps plays an important role without a parallel by any other organization. Farms are foundation of BINGTUAN , and farmers are main body of masses in farms. In recent years, as the income increasing speed of farmers of BINGTUAN is low, which has influenced stability of farms even stability of border areas. Consequently, the issue of income of farmers of BINGTUAN is not only an economic issue, but also a political issue. The research on how to increase income of farmers of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps has significance both theoretically and practically.The thesis consists of three parts as following:Part one relates to the present condition of the income of farmers of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps and characteristics in its change.Part two concerns analysis on factors restricting growth of income of farmers of BINGTUAN such as the unreasonable industrial structure, the higher burden on farmers, low quality of laborer, ecological degradation, and other factors.Part three is the key part of this paper. In this part, the author, on the basis of factors restricting growth of income of farmers of BINGTUAN, put forward some countermeasures and suggestions for increasing income of farmers of BINGTUAN.
