Modern Democratic Politics Construction Of China From The Perspective Of Social Capital

The social capital, as a newly emerging theory, provided a brand-new research perspective and analysis model for modern democratic political construction of China. It is evolved in certain social structure and follows some cultural norms, with belief and mutual benefit as its main content and social network as the carrier. Through promoting the moral value system of reciprocal cooperation among citizens, it drives forward the development of the third department and public organization, improves the awareness of social rule and order, help the diversification of channels to reach certain social status, hence push the construction of democratic politics. However, the unbalanced distribution of social capital, the lack of universal trust and regulation, the underdeveloped social network for citizens to be involved, and the unreasonable social structure, all these hinder the construction of democratic politics. Therefore, only by accumulating more social capital can the construction of democratic politics be sped up.
