| The Party consolidation of countryside in the early years of new China has an important status in the history of Party-building. This article probes into the historical incident, introduces its historical background, elaborates its process, analyzes its success and failure, and tries to obtain its contemporary enlightenment of the Party's organizational building in the countryside.In the early days of new China, the thoughts of relaxation in some rural Party members were serious, they didn't want to continue the revolutionary work, they couldn't find out the developing direction of the rural economy, some were even anxiously inclined to be rich peasants. The swift and violent development of the rural Party organization made the composition of Party organization seriously impure, some Party members' motives of joining the party were not pure, some rural party members and cadres seriously violated the disciplines and broke the laws. So the consolidation of rural Party organization was imperative. It began with the free discussion, educated the members with the Communist-Eight-Standard, led them to the cooperative road. During the consolidation, the party members were re-registered for the first time in the history of the Party consolidation, the unqualified members were identified and cleaned out of the party. The commandism was vigorously exposed and criticized, typical cases of law-breaking were dealt with, the bureaucracy was originally combated and the party members were educated to study the work method of the mass line. Of course, in some areas the indistinct aim, insufficient preparation, too much combination with"Three-Antis''brought some faults to the Party consolidation.The study of the Party consolidation of countryside in the early years of new China will have important realistic meanings in helping to strengthen the basic organization of the present rural party construction, make great efforts to enable the rural Party organization and build the socialist new country.
