We live in the 21st century, which can be called the age of "information exploration". With communication by the way of mass media and the technology of internet, the information society has formed and arrived.Public policy is the important way for government to adjust and distribute the interest of the society. The communication of public policy is the important link for its formulation and execution. The value and significance of public policy is affected and depends on the efficiency degree of its communication.The public policy communication is a two-way process between the government and the certain or uncertain public. This communication process has actually formed existing relations between the government and the public. Considered from the angle of Politics and Administration Science, the relations can be understood as government public relations, which are applied in the field of public administration with the theory of public relations.From the theory study and the practice analysis of government public relations, we can conclude that only with the good relations between government and the public, can the government legitimacy be protected and strengthened. It is only when the relations between government and the public are good enough and the public can learn what they want, better understand the government and can communicate with the government efficiently that the good effects of the government communication can be really achieved.
