The Analyse Of America's Cultural Diplomacy In The Contemporary Era And Its Influence To China

This era of the information revolution and globalization has provided a brand new international environment for cultural diplomacy. Studying international relations and foreign policies of the countries from a cultural aspect, not only broadened an academic view on international politics and foreign policies, but also benefited the discussions and talks on complexity of international relations from a deeper insight. The "9·11" attack has brought a huge impact on the international environment. In order to conquer the other countries, the USA government transfers its foreign strategy onto cultural diplomacy again. Due to such background, this paper first attempts to study the definition and functions of cultural diplomacy. Through the analysis of the reasons of the development of American cultural diplomatic strategy and its organizations and bodies, it reveals the fundamentals of the American cultural diplomacy and its limitations, and base on such an analysis, a proposal of suggestions will be put forward for the development of the cultural diplomacy of China in such a new era.
