The Comparative Study On Sino-America Safety Strategy After The Cold War

With the transformation of international structures after the cold war, Chinese government and American government have made an adjustment to their national security strategies. As to China and America, their security strategies are always based on rational analysis of state interests, and inevitably, national mentality is also included.This thesis analyses the tendency of the national security strategy of China and America on the perspective of "national mentality" after the post-Cold War. Firstly, the paper analyses the differences of national mentalities between China and America, including the definition, composition, origin and the comparison of developing courses, characteristic and behavior which exist in those two nationality mentalities. Secondly, the paper focuses on comparing the national security strategy of America with that of China after the cold war in the following four parts, the goal, the executing manners, the surroundings and the evolvement process. Finally, the thesis concentrates a studying on national mentality in the security strategies of China and America.
