The Building Of Image Of Chinese Government In The New Century

The building of image of government is an important goal, as well as the core of government relationship, which is an indispensable part of the whole theory of public relationship. In the new century, China has stepped into a key phase when its GDP per person is increasing from one thousand dollars to three thousand dollars. Besides, China is embracing all kinds of challenges and opportunities after entering WTO.Good image of Chinese government is an important intangible asset of the government which is a leading power pushing the society to further development. Thus, the theory of the building of image of Chinese government is an urgent issue After clarifying the concept, essence and characteristics of image of government, this paper explains the reasons why China should build good image of government in the new century. The following is the main part of the paper when two theories of building cooperation's image are used in the theory of building government's image.When the theory of Cooperation Identity System (CIS) is used in the government, it becomes Government Identity System (GIS), which also consists of Mind Identity, Behavior Identity and Visual Identity.When the theory of Customer Satisfaction (CS) is used in the government, it becomes People Satisfaction (PS) which is the key of all activities of government. In this theory, the government should first be instilled the concept that people come first. And more importantly, the government should increase people satisfaction through tangible achievements.Communication of image of government is indispensable to building government's image. It is effective through political communication, political leader communication, and setting up specific government public relationship departments.A questionnaire is designed for the paper. And a survey is conducted in small size to collect data and information. The questionnaire and its result are attached to the paper.
