Mao Zedong's Human Rights Thought originated and developed in the process of the democratic revolution ,socialist revolution and socialist construction of china led by Mao Zedong. It not only has Chinese characteristics ,but also made Marxist human rights theories enriched and developed.This paper consists of four main parts : part I, the significance of choosing this topic is given ;Part II, analysing the The historic cultural source of Mao Zedong's Human Rights Thought which are China's traditional culture , modern human rights thought and the spread of the Marxist theory on human rights in China; Part III,the basic contents & practices of Mao Zedong's human rights thought were expounded, including democratic revolution,socialist revolution and socialist construction in China,and analysing the basic characteristics of Mao Zedong's human rights thought: Human rights have class characters, Human rights is the rights of the people, the emphasis of collective human rights and the breadth of human rights content; Part IV, the significance and ideas of Mao Zedong's human rights thought in constructing and implementing the Human Rights Theory with Chinese Characteristic were expounded. the need to establish mechanisms and system for the protection of human rights; propagandizing human rights theory, guiding people to establish a right outlook on human rights; the way and model of realization should be different.
