Study On Japan's Policy Towards Tawian After Cold War

As a result of factors of history, culture, economy and strategy ,the Japanese always harbor thickly "the Taiwan complex".They care for the situation of the Taiwan sea .to the greatest extent For a long time, from the Japanese military circles, the political circle, the educational world to the Japanese folk, they are all closely paying attention to the situation of the Taiwan sea, In China unifying the Taiwan issue, Japan has already become another most main international influence factor except US.; In the Taiwan problem ,it ambushes concealed worry whichChina and Japan will conflicte Specially after 1990s, along with the conclusion of the cold war system, the international political pattern has a tremendous change, while Japan strategically accelerates to advance"the political great nation" it starts to have a strategic adjustment on the past policy towards China of" friendly first "to carry out a mainstream policy towards China which restrains China to develop formidablly. Considering from its own strategic benefit ,Japan starts gradually to adjust the Taiwan policy , unceasingly develops to have essence relations with the Taiwan, and attempts to contain China using theTaiwan problem,which has seriously affected the normal development of Chinese and Japanese relations.Therefore, this article takes Japan adjusting the Taiwan policy after cold war as the cutting point ,its root and the strategic scheme have been analysed and our correspondence strategies have been proposed.The full text altogether is divided into seven parts.The first part is introduction, which has mainly outlined the research significance and the research present of this selected topic as well as this article attempts to solve the main problem and plans to adopt the research technique.The second part has mainly elaborated in the cold war time the evolution of the Taiwan policy and the relations.of Chinese and Japanese. Two stages may approximately been divided .The first stage is the policy of"supporting Jiang Jie-shi and opposing the Communist Party"before establishing the diplomatic relations between China and Japan; The second stage is "the unofficial contact policy"after establishing diplomatic relations between China and Japan.The third part has elaborated the Japanese adjustment of the Taiwan policy after the cold war . (1) In politics, breakthrough the limit of"folk diplomacy"and impel elevation of Japanese-Taiwanese official relations (2) In economy, close Taiwanese economic and trade relations and strengthen the economy seepage of the Taiwan; (3) In military, the intention of both sides'cooperation is obvious, start to carry on the cooperation in the security domain;(4) support Taiwan to expand the international participation and assist Taiwan to develop"the international existing space".The fourth part carries on the analysis on the root of Japanese Taiwan policy. Mainly has following several points: (1)In the history, the colonial ruling for 50 years is Japanese "the Taiwan complex"; (2) In the economy, the significant economic interest is the important reason forJapan coveting Taiwan; (3) In the ecurity, Japan regards Taiwan as the important link in its security strategy; (4) In the strategy, use the Taiwan problem to contain China and have something else planned in the territory problem (5) In the domestic political arena, "the Taiwan Gang" add fuel to the flames to Japanese adjustment on the Taiwan policyThe fifth part carries on the forecasting analysis on the Taiwan policy of Japan . Although Japan has the possibility to meddle the Taiwan issues, from the overall evaluation of various aspects,Japan dare not to have a huge risk of the direct and comprehensive resistance to China for the Taiwan's benefit.All the restriction factors will force Japan not to involve the Taiwan issues deeply. The sixth part mainly proposes our country's countermeasure.From consideration of the medium and long-term strategy, first, we should judge the trend of the medium and long-term relations of China and Japan correctly,and formulate effectively to the diplomacy strategy of Japan.In the Taiwan policy ,we should continue to persist "Counter-Fission State Law", firmly attack the separatist activity of the Taiwan independence, simultaneously strengthen exchange of the politics, the economy, the culture with the Taiwan,and enhance the island strength against the Taiwan independence .And we should also base on our own development, establish the stable peripheral diplomacy, and strive for the good international environment for the Taiwan problem's solution.The possible measures we will be supposed to adopt in the near future include:In politics,do much work of the Japanese progress strength and strive for their support and carry on the diversion to the strength of the Japanese Right Wing; In the economics and trade,further expand the Chinese and Japanese economic cooperation and deepen the Chinese market dependence of Japan;In the military,strengthen our country's national defense capability,and develop the high-tech military technology; In diplomacy,coordinate relations with US and divert relations of Japanese and the Taiwan independence by improvement of the Chinese and American relations.Finally, in the conclusion it is pointed out that completing the unification of the motherland is our historical mission; from now on we should give the close attention to the developmental trend and possible respond in the Taiwan problem of Japan.
