Any theory must face reality and be a clear direction for the development of society, otherwise it will lose the significance of existing . The theory of a harmonious society proposed to the clear way for the future development of Chinese society:China must adhere to the people-centered society and promote the comprehensive development of the people. Only the harmony of the people can gain the social harmony; harmonious society must develop on the basis of abundant material wealth and the productivity, so only the rapid development of economic harmony, can the construction of a harmonious society be realized; political harmony is the political support in constructing the harmonious society; social harmony needs strong support in the spirit and excellent cultural conditions. If we vigorously develop harmonious culture, we will be able to provide a powerful ideological driving force and intellectual support to the harmonious society; harmonious society requires the full development of social undertakings, the mechanism of a harmonious social development so as to effectively integrate various social sectors, regulate social contradictions and always keep the society in a state of balance.
