These years, following the transaction of central planning economy structure to the market economy structure, as well as the urbanization of countryside areas, more and more surplus peasant workers rush into cities. They not only helped in developing the city economy, but also give the impetus to the economic development of the countryside somehow. However, being the disadvantaged group of the society and the "marginal people" of the cities, these peasant workers suffer wide discrimination in obtaining employment, which causes a series of problems.Generally speaking, it's not only the result of the long-existing census register system in China, but also the outcome of economic and structural discriminations, the severe absence of law and the long-lasting culture impact. Just because of the existence of profession and salary discriminations, the limitations to census register, the lack of social guarantee measures and the absence of law regarding their rights of obtaining employments, the peasant workers are not satisfied with the society. This causes the instability of the society and violates the normal operation of the labor force market. It also infringes the justice and fair play of the market economy and hinders the effective development of the national economy. Thus, considering the basic condition of China's being in the preliminary stage of the Socialism and the general background of the "constructing new socialism countryside and build a harmonious society" policy, the author discusses the problems of employment discriminations suffered by the peasant workers in the following four parts: 1) the brief account of the problems; 2) the specific phenomenon; 3) the reasons and the impairments; 4) the legal reflection and the measures for future improvement. The first part explains the term of the peasant workers and the employment discriminations they suffer. This thesis starts with the emergence of the peasant workers, and moves on with a general introduction of the employment discriminations suffered by them. The second part employs deduction and reasoning to list the employment discriminations the peasant workers suffered, which include the market discrimination, the governmental policies' discrimination, and the indirect legal discrimination and so on. The third part analyzes the causes and the results of these discriminations. The fourth part has a definite objective of focusing on the countermeasures for the problems mentioned in the preceding part. Only in this way, can we finally solve the "the Agricultural, Rural and Peasant's Problems", achieve the goal of establishing a harmonious, just and fair society and reach the objective of building up a socialist legalized country.
