Based on the data of Pew Research Center, this paper analyzes America's internationalimage in the world, particularly in the Muslim world, and tried to explore the reasons for thissituation, and how to influence the United States. The paper simultaneously based on the case ofIndonesia, analyzes the America's national image in the Muslim world of Indonesia, andexplores Indonesian Muslims how to impact U.S.-Indonesia bilateral relations. Meanwhile, thispaper tried to use Joseph Nye's "soft power" theory to analyze America's international image,and analyze how America use public diplomacy to enhance its international image and thelimitations.Lastly, the author concludes some experience of America's image and the importance ofsoft power, also believes the lessons from the American experience are very important for thepeaceful rise process of China.
