The knowledge-update training of civil servant is a kind of training to improve, supplement and widen the relevant knowledge for in-service civil servants and it is an important way to improve the ability of civil servants. Because of its universality of affected areas and the effectiveness to promote ability, the knowledge-update training of civil servants play an important role on the various types of training. After more than ten years practice and exploration, the knowledge-update training of civil servants has gradually get into the institutionalized and standardized track, but objectively speaking, there are still a lot of overt and covert issues, among them, the object of training is un-exactly, civil servants awareness of career development is weak, and training management is unscientific, all of these are the more notable issues.Based on career management training theory as breakthrough point and foothold, the paper combines the core theory of it with the key element of the civil servants knowledge-update training, to put forward perfect way of the knowledge-update training of Chinese civil servants based on career management theory. This paper mainly studies on these steps:First, it makes a basic analysis on the connotations and the interrelations of the career management and knowledge-update training, to put forward clearly that career management theory is an important guiding concept, which has important guiding significance to perfect the knowledge-update training of Chinese civil servants and improve scientific, pertinence and effectiveness of training. Secondly, it analyzes the actuality of the knowledge-update training of Chinese civil servants from the perspective of Career Management Training, and points out the problems and reasons of ideological recognition, the system design, training procedures and so on. Finally, on the basic of analysis questions and reasons, the paper puts knowledge-update training of civil servants into practice by the career management theory, and proposes the perfect way of the knowledge-update training of civil servants. That is to combine the core elements of career management, put forward the corresponding optimized ways from the aspect of strengthening the concept of civil servants career management training, establishing and improving the system, optimizing the running process, as well as enhancing the guaranteed mechanism of the knowledge- update training of the civil servants.
