The Legalist School In Pre-Qin Dynasty Times: Outstanding Theories In That Extremely Fast-moving Period

The Legalist School in ChunQiu-ZhanGuo Period,whoes theories exactly catched the rhythm of that period,tried their best to resolve the problems facing that period,by providing advices and even sacrificing their lifes for promoting and practicing their theories.For the courage and determination they had,and most importantly,for the practical theories fitting right into the sociaty,the Legalist School became more and more popular among the ruling class.They stepped up onto the political stage,took in charge of the running of the political system and had a direct and enormous impact on the centralization of state power to the king,the war for the mergers and acquisitions between kingdoms,and the creation of a unified empire. Howerver,when a unified and stable empire-Han Dynasty occured,the Legalist School lost their position on the stage right away,and they even never got a change to come back again. In spite,the previously unpopular Confucian school's theories became the only maimstream theory and has kept its position for more than two thousands years afterwards.But The Confucian School replaced the the Legalist School only on the stage,their "Ethics" and "Manners" can never maintain a stable sociaty for such a long time without Legalist School's backup by their "Power Force","Power Tactics" and "Law".We can never underestimate the historical impact of the Legalist School and ignore its existance,it is still here today.Even though it looks like that the Confucian School has always been in charge after taking over the Legalist School's position,we still may argue that in some aspects,the Legalist School has deeper impact than the Confucian School did.Based on a deep thinking on the factors mentioned herebefore,I wrote this article.The article has been divided into three parts.A general discussion on the Legalist School in Pre-Qin Dynasty Times and their theories has been provided in the first part.The focus is on Han-Fei's theory,which is the most important theory in history.In the second part,I reseaches the theories under their certain background,not examing them under the backgound today,to find the reasonal factors inside. But,honestly,I should say,the Legalist School's theories has lead to a disaster to the sociaty by providing the three big traditions,which are politics absolutism,econamic absolutism and culture absolutism(collectively absolutism),created during Pre-Qin Dynasty times.That three big traditions definitely has decided the nature and the basic appearance of the Chinese history.The third part will majorly discuss this three tradition.Given that the Legalist School is such a prominant school with outstanding theories,it seems that a full,precise and deep understanding on it is impossible for me,but I have tried my best to reseach them on a rational base and to get some spiritual things out which could be useful for nowadays's reality.
