Organized violence, whose difference in intensity determines whom the victory of war belongs to, is the substantive base of winning warfare. Thereby, enhancing the organized violence is one of the important components of military construction. Military technology and military institution, as constituents of organized violence, promote the enhancement of organized violence together through the development of themselves. The existence and development of military technology and military institution, as well as the association between the two, rest on the demands of winning warfare. Military technology has underwent four phases of development, namely cold armament times, hot armament times, mechanized armament times, and informationalized armament times. Each transformation from the previous phase to the next phase brought about a great leap in the development of military institution and displayed the role of military technology's advancement in promoting the transfomiation of military institution. The unbalanced development of military technology in practice and the shift of military power among countries reflect the dynamic role of military institution's transformation in the advancement of military technology. As is proved by the history, a close association exists between the advancement of military technology and the transformation of military institution. Hereby, the research question is, what fundamentally leads to the formation of such a kind of association. To answer this question, we should start with the interactive mechanism between the advancement of military technology and the transformation of military institution and review how they mutually influence each other due to mutual pervasion. A thorough analysis on the interactive mechanism between the advancement of military technology and the transformation of military institution can benefit our grasp on the features and laws of modern military development, as well as our deep rational understanding of "new military transformation" and our deployment of practice of military transformation with Chinese characteristics.
