Comaparison: The Theory Of Peace Between China And Occident

Peace is the happiest desire of human being. There is no pure good or evil in human nature .When the human nature militant factor gets the run ,peace may become a wild hope. The approach to seeking peace is not a suppress on the human nature ,but is a way to peace on the bases of hanuman nature .the research of peace covers all the subjects., but it subordinates to the politics. The realization of peace has the integrity characteristic, therefore we should compare Chinese and Occidental peace theory, seeking common ground while maintaining difference, to seek the correct pattern of peace. While studying the occidental modern times peace thought, The Chinese scholars who have the ideology influence , often prejudice to them, moreover the realism scholar emphasized friction caused by the difference of national interest ,so they do not believe the peace should realization. Therefore, Chinese academic circles on peace theory research compared with the occidental counterpart are quite backward, because the Chinese peace thought origin concentrates much on each generation of leader.But because the modern occidental politics system developed relatively consummates compared with China, therefore, gradually a new discipline formed .only because the development is slow, the main stream of peace theory still concentrated in the representative character's theory. Therefore, this article starting with war which is the main factor, and take peace as the only aim to analyzed the different cognition of peace on different culture, as well as to judge these different theories under the standard of the function to peace and to refine common core, to attempts to construct a kind of peace mechanism, to make contribution to from both theory and practice。This article research mentality: This thesis has four parts, the first part is the introduction, mainly on the explanation of this research: elaborate the reason why author choose this subject, and summarize the research on the theory of peace between China and Occident. The second part is introduction the representative viewpoints on west about the occidental peace theory. this part cover in all ages, and involves many scholars' theory, not only on the liberalism school but also on the realism and constructivism the analysis level center mainly on international and the national two levels. The third part is on the Chinese peace theory. The research on peace traced to he ancient Spring and Autumn Period although there were no formed theory , the view of peace theory appearanced in many scholar's work, and that also was the unique traditional culture characteristic. particular the "Harmonious and Syncretic" has the most important influence to the current main peace theory. Chinese latter-day history is filled with the war and humiliation. China lost her status of great power, and even became the insult object. War was the theme of that times. The establishment of PRC causes peace is no longer a vain hoped but it may become truth. From the Mao Zedong time to Deng Xiaoping time, from Jiang Zemin time to now, China gradually makes great strides forward the peace. Chinese peace theory is quite different from occidental. that is these theories mainly contain in the leader's thought ,so these does not have the independence like the western ,because they are more scientific. therefore, this part mainly carry on the summarizing and the classifying on these scattered peace thoughts and attempt to show the Chinese character. The fourth part is mainly on the comparison of Chinese and occidental peace theories, to abstract the sameness and the differences, and attempt to construct the international peace system or mechanism. Peace mechanism should include the international and the regional levels. The peace mechanism structure mainly includes four aspects: the establishment of goals, the differentiate of behavior, the establishment of basic principle and the safeguard system; the establishment of consultative system and the new security theory. thus from these three aspects :the power, the system and the concept, the peace system can be built.
