| Trade in legal services already become an important part of international trade in services. GATS, taking effect after the Uruguay Round, has bring legal services, together with other service sectors, into the track of liberalization. After China entered into WTO in 2001, we government performed promises that abolished "three limitation" and escalated the opening of legal services market. Author studyed systemic this issue for a long time and loaded her pages with references such as official web of WTO, thesis and periodical of Westlaw, deta and information of law official web. Meanwhile, the author choosed to analyse some important and key issuses in international and Chinese trade in legal services on the basis of study content of GATS through juristic writing method. This paper consists of four parts: introducing the content of GATS and basic theory of legal service; analysing international and Chinese development in legal service and its characteristics under GATS; finding out GATS's influnces on legal service ; aggregating some prolems in our trade in legal service and giving corresponding suggestions.
