The Scientific Concept Of Development Under Marxist Philosophy Vision

The Third Plenary Session of the 16th central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party explicitly put forward the view of science development which involves putting emphasis on humanism and developing the economy in an all-round, harmonious and sustainable way. The 17th Party Congress redefined the science development, which was inherited and developed by three generations of Chinese Central leaders. It is a scientific theory integrated with Marxism-Leninism, Maoism, Dengism and "three representatives" and is the significant guidelines of Chinese economic development. Chairman Hu Jintao pointed out that science development was put forward on the basis of our own situation and the experiences from other countries and it's suitable for Chinese economic development.In this thesis, the view of science development, a new result in theory of modern Chinese Marxism, was analyzed philosophically, taking Marxist development as the starting point and using history materialism and materialist dialectics as the guide. Chairman Hu Jintao said that as far as science development was concerned, development takes the priority, humanism is the center, sustainable development in an all-round way is the requirement and its method is making overall plans and taking all factors into consideration. The purpose of science development is affording people every chance to develop and constructing a harmonious society. Consequently, science development has characters of social historic, practicality, scientificalness and comprehensiveness.Besides, the practical value of science development was also expounded, that is, it signifies the needs of Chinese economy development, it shows the adjustments of national developing strategies, it remarks the requirements of building a well-to-do society, and importantly it represents a great leap of the ruling ideas of Chinese Communist Party. Science development is completely different from the traditional ideas because it not only reveals the developing methods, models, strategies and purposes of Chinese modernization drive but reflects the basic character of Marxist development, i.e. to grow with the time. The philosophical basis of science development is Marxism history materialism. To make it clear is full of great practical significance: it helps us adhere to Marxism and develop it and apply it to the practice of Chinese Modernization drive. Therefore, science development should be implemented thoroughly.
