Making use of synchronous audio and video recordings for the whole process of interrogation has very important meanings to promote the procedural justice and protect the legal rights and interests of the criminal suspects. The paper first introduces the concept, the characteristic and the classification of the synchronous audio and video recordings for the whole process of interrogation and expatiates on its legal nature and signification. After the analysis of the regulation and practice of synchronous audio and video recordings for the whole process of interrogation in some related countries and regions, the advantages and problems in the legal practice are analyzed by seeing about the history and the status quo of synchronous audio and video recordings for the whole process of interrogation in our country. Then, the paper discusses the feasibility of the promotion of synchronous audio and video recordings for the whole process of interrogation in our country from the aspects of weighing the cost-benefit and the realistic society foundation. At last, the paper puts forward the idiographic conceiving of the synchronous audio and video recordings for the whole process of interrogation in our country. Meantime, for the purpose of building up a set of procedure that could not only prosecute the crime effectually but also fully protect the human rights, some suggestions are made on how to make perfect the related complementary system from the point of achieving the litigation value of synchronous audio and video recordings for the whole process of interrogation.
