The Action Logic Of Urban Grass-roots Community Organizations

From 1978 to the present,China is in a traditional society to modern society-changing social transformation period, showing "overall community" fea-tures.At this stage,"free space" beginning to emerge,"the free flow ofresources" to increase,and the market has become a relatively independent of the resources and opportunities,providing the source of strength of the civil society on the basis of the beginning of this development,and step by step,a state power unlimited powers into limited powers.This social transformation process has its own unique development logic,the relationship between the state and society in fact has a more complicated situation. This is the study of Chinese grass roots social point of departure. Since the state-Social binary analysis framework to explain the lack of grass-roots communities of the study,the relation-ship between the state and society at the grass-roots communities and the implementation of this study will not be a point of concern. In this study to "practice sociology" study strategies to Changsha Gujing community to study cases to qualitative research methods to "community incident," the starting point for research on the urban grass-roots community organizations to practice logic.After a long period of field research,we come to the following conclusions:the urban grass-roots community organizations(neighborhood community)is a quasiexecutive of the organization,is a resident self-management organizations, both the pursuit of "the legitimacy",the pursuit of "social legitimacy." In daily life practice,the dual identity of the community's neighborhood committee followed two seemingly contradictory,but in reality it parallel logic operation.Webber sense of the hierarchy of the community's neighborhood committee organization can not explain this paradox phenomenon.When we take "relationship" angle,grass-roots community organizations as "actors",the phenomenon can be explained:the community's neighborhood committee is not only a structure of the organization,or a rational actors,pursuing a "double legitimacy" in the process of gaining more room for survival.
