While people are enjoying Genetically-modified Food, they also worry about the potential security risk brought by Genetically-modified Food. Nowadays, most countries are chasing for measures that both promote the development of genetic science and protect consumers' right. EU is the earliest organization to enact legislation to regulate genetically-modified food and its legislation is the most severe and prudent one in the world.Through the probe into the reasons, bases, modes, specific emergence and development of EU legal regulation on genetically-modified food, the thesis comprehensively deals with EU and China's legal supervision over genetically-modified food. It has theoretical and practical meanings to makes up for the short-coming of our study on EU legal regulation on genetically-modified food and provides reference for the improvement of China's legal regulation on genetically-modified food.As to the study for the basic issues of EU legal regulation on genetically- modified food, the first thing we need to do is to analyzes the concept of genetically- modified food and legal regulation and the theoretical foundation and legislation mode of EU legal regulation on genetically- modified food. Then, we should detail the statue quo of EU legal regulation on genetically-modified food and the legislation transfer of EU member countries and try to predict the change of EU legal regulation on genetically-modified food. Third, we need to focus on the status quo of China's legal regulation on genetically-modified food and provides suggestions to improve China's legal regulation on genetically-modified food. At last, we made a conclusion of the whole test and call the society pay more attention to the legal regulation on genetically-modified food so as to establish and improve China's legal regulation system on genetically-modified food.
