Exploration On China's International Cooperation Theory

International cooperation is extremely vital to the existence and development of international community and human being. It's not merely a slogan or a kind of act, it's a theory. The theoretical research of international cooperation includes three core questions, which are the purpose, way and value of international cooperation.The three questions constitute the three dimensions of international cooperation theory. The purpose of international cooperation is the dimension of nature. International cooperation has two purposes: need of interest at the national level and need of order at the systemic level. The nature of international cooperation theory, which can be only found from the need of order, is reflected by nation's basic attitudes to international order. The way of international cooperation is the dimension of process. Keeping process means keeping cooperation, so the way of commencing and maintaining process is also the path of cooperation among nations. The value of international cooperation is the dimension of result, which tells that international cooperation does some favor to the evolution of international society. This thesis holds that the three dimensions are interdependent and interrelated, and can reverse as well.This paper is the macroscopic research and theoretical analysis on the three core questions of international cooperation from China's special perspective. This paper believes:China's international cooperation aims at achieving the unity of international order and world justice, the nature of it is modest and incremental. Through the analysis of history and reality of China, I believe that the ancient east Asia system is full of justice, so, to maintain that order is to maintain justice, China's international cooperation at that time guaranteed the unity of order and justice; from the founding of New China to 1978, when the reform and opening up policy took into practice, China developed cooperative relations with all countries under the guidance of the "five principles of peaceful coexistence", in order to firmly safeguard the basic norms and order of international relations, meanwhile, China constantly pursued world justice through anti-hegemony, anti-imperialism, anti-colonialism and the establishment of a new international economic order; After 1978, China has experienced the full integration into the international community, taken part in international organizations, complied with international norms, and developed all-round cooperative relations with others, with its simultaneous efforts to promote world justice by fighting against hegemony, establishing the new international political and economic order and building a "harmonious world".The way of China's international cooperation lies in launching and maintaining the process, which is based on national strength and international shared knowledge. Therefore, enhancing the national strength and widening the international shared knowledge are the two major channels for international cooperation. The standpoint of enhancing national strength rests with domestic construction, including: upholding reform and opening-up strategy; persisting in taking economic construction as the center; vigorously developing education and encouraging institution innovations; focusing on the development of the internal soft power. Widening the international shared knowledge includes: expanding China's soft power in the international arena; learning international institutions and constructing a collective identity (mutual friends) with the entire international community; improving China's diplomacy.The value of China's international cooperation means ethical value, reflected as follows: cooperation should become the world outlook of the whole international community, international cooperation should focus on the practice of nations, and work jointly to realize the peaceful transition of international system; China's international cooperation tells the excellence of Chinese traditional culture.
