Study On The Patterns Of Rural Elderly Security In China's Transitional Stage

At present, with the aged tendency of village population in China becoming more and more serious, the issue of the pension for the aged in China's rural area is facing some difficulties. Such as the family support for the aged is decreasing; System of the support for the aged is scare and there is a lack of resource that the aged in the rural area can use. Issues like supporting the old were stressed by the whole society, and when it is in rural areas, the problem became the spotlight.I focused on the current situation of the aged tendency of village population in China at the very beginning of this paper. In the first chapter, the analysis of this current situation of transitional stage is mentioned. In the second chapter, I divided the mode of the aged tendency of village population into traditional mode and the social security for the aged by the origin of materials for the aged tendency. The three modes are family support for aged, Community support for aged and self-support by aged. The family support for aged which takes large part and has been declining. It is supported by children of the olds. Community support for aged is a new way to support the olds and it needs to be backed up by more powerful community economy. Self-support by aged has some problems to solve too. In the social security for aged part, its practice and progress are mentioned. In the third chapter, I analysis the factors to choose the modes and compared these modes, then I raised the multiple-mode in consider of the unbalanced development of our economy, society and culture in rural districts. The multiple-mode means with the enormous development of family support for Aged, we also need community support for aged and self-support by aged as supplement. What is more, we need to build and rebuild the social security for the aged.
