Huntington's Political Development View Study

Samuel Phillips Huntington is one of the most famous scholars in the field of political development theory. His two works《political order in changing society》and《The third wave: democratization in the late twentieth century》are recognized as classics work of political development theory,《political order in changing society》stresses on the order and authority in political development, while《The third wave: democratization in the late twentieth century》stresses on the democracy in political development.After 1990s, Huntington's political development view has shifted, from authority tendency to democracy tendency.In《political order in changing society》,Huntington has analyzed the reason for developing country's instability from two aspects ,From the macroscopic level, it is because modernization process being eager to success and immediate gain, most of the developing countries attempt to complete the modernization in several dozens years ,the impractical endeavor has caused society confusion and the order deterioration finally ;From the microscopic level, it is the social stratum and the citizen politics participation enhancement, from which the economical development result, surpassed political system's bearing capacity, caused society's confusion.
