Research On Current Chinese Local Governments Public Trust

Public trust of the government is a kind of ability that the government acquires public trust. And it is a standard which measures political power firmness and society civilization. As the core of the social credit system,public trust of the local governments is indispensable for the social development.Abroad, although the scholars have never put forward the theory about public trust of the government systematically, some related researches are the foundation to public trust of the government such as The Society Contract theory, Public Choice,Governance etc.Currently,many people focus on this problem and propose many methods for it. In developed countries, various methods are proposed such as the citizen centered service, morals foundation sport, anti- corrupt activity etc. In developing countries,they value the economy development and adopt other methods such as standardizing the public official's behavior,stroking corrupt etc. We can refer to above methods and then establish our own policy.At present, public trust of our governments is gradually improving especially our central government. But the public trust status of local governments is unbalance. Moreover, public trust of our local governments in some regions is weaker. The government failing in promise mainly accompanies following syndromes:public officials failing in promise, the behavior of government failing in promise,the publice product being shortage and the government information losing true. The reasons causing the public trust of the local governments weaken are very complicated, including the government reason and the public reason.To enhance public trust of the local governments, a government credibility security system is needed. The government credibility security system includes the following aspects: setting up a right achievement view, making decision-making more scientific and democratic, increasing the quality of socail management and pubulic service, making perfect in government credibility law and making open in government affairs.
