Many studies on Loneliness have been studied in the 20th century,70s, and psychologists in China have also given great attention on this area in recent years.Based on the literature,this paper gave a detailed literature on the concept,theory and methods of loneliness,and gave a summary on a variety of factors which have great impact on the loneliness.Using the methods of Questionnaire Survey on the 400 Juvenile criminals in Beijing and 230 male college students in Qufu Normal University,this paper aims to achieve these goals:(1)the loneliness of Juvenile criminals,and the differences with the male college students;(2)to explore how the demographic variables influence the loneliness of juvenile criminals;(3) to give an analysis on the correlations among the five factors; (4)to explore the complex relations among such four factors using the path diagram.Results reveal that:(1)Juvenile criminals stand high levels of loneliness,and the loneliness of juvenile criminals was significantly higher than male college students;(2)the loneliness of juvenile criminals was not significantly different at such demographic variables:age,education,times entering prison,the sentences and the remainder of the sentences;but was significantly different on the following variables:whether the one-child or not,the situation of parents and household register;(3)the two variables: whether one child or not,the situation of parents have main effect on loneliness,and the two variables have interaction effect on loneliness; (4)loneliness was significantly correlate with the three other variables; (6)PSSS,Acceptance of others,Acceptance to others have significant prediction on the loneliness;(7)PSSS has mediation effects on the Acceptability to others and Loneliness.
