Predictors Of Lower Class Male Inmates On Property Crime

About 1000 male prisoners took part in this study,and subjects of this study come from Shandong,Guangdong,Shanxi,Shanghai,it has 909 valid. The researcher that used correlation analysis,variance test and path analysis explored the impacts of property crime and sentence.The results were as follows:1) In the male inmates,the property-type crime is the ratio of 66.3 percent,and the difference of walks of life,ages,type of household income is significant between property tape crime and non-property tape crime; specific crime types are maily two types that is theft and looting,it's accounting for 58.6 percent.2) The capacity of self-control,the different social strata of self-control,impulsive risk-taking showed significant differences,low social class showed the highest scores;the self-control of property-type crime and non-property-type crime did not show significant differences.3) The social bonds,different levels of personal income male inmates showed significantly different,the underlying social class is significantly lower than middle and upper classes of society.Different type crime of social bonds did not show significant differences.4) The degree of social support,different types of crime did not show significant difference,shows that the score of property-type crime is lower than non-property type crime;social support and the dimensions of different social strata showed significant differences,low classes of society were significantly lower than in the high-level.5) Relative deprivation scores,different levels of education showed significant difference,the high level of education,the lower relative deprivation;different income levels and different types of crime didn't show significant differences;different sectors of society showed significant difference,the scores of lower class were significantly higher than the top score.6) The factors of the property type crime,results showed that age, family income,educational level,social class is closely related to the type of property crime,results showed that lower class of society was more vulnerable to property-type crime than other classes;the factors which included self-control and dimensions,participation,commitment and belief,social support and subjective support,relative deprivation are related to the property type crime.7) The impact factors of sentence showed that age and education has a positive role of prediction;social bonds is significant effect;self-control, social support and relative deprivation is not significant prediction, intermediary variables didn't showed significant effect.
