| This paper starts from the beginning of the Philippine-U.S.relations since the very beginning of post-warâ…¡,and looks into the Philippine-U.S.security relations changes and development through pre-Cold War and in and after Cold War periods. The Philippine-U.S.security relations mainly experienced three stages:the issue that predominantly shaped Philippine-U.S.relations from 1946 to 1954 was the American military bases.In 1992,the U.S.withdrew its last batch of military troops from the Philippines,the once-strong and once-special Philippine-American relations had essentially become moribund.This paper mainly uses the theory of interdependence and realism to build the theoretical frame.How does this relationship form ? Why does this alliance change at different historic periods ? All these questions shall be covered and analyzed in this paper.The paper shall analyze the impact upon Asian-Pacific and China's policy as well. |
