| From the period of Mao Zedong to that of Hu Jintao, Chinese Communist Party has made three great strides in its formation and construction of civilization theories, which involve the shift from focusing on socialist material civilization to a double hold on socialist material civilization and spiritual civilization, then the shift to the trinity of socialist material civilization, political civilization and spiritual civilization, and at last the addition of ecological civilization. Summarizing the historical evolution of the formation of civilization theories by the collective leaderships of Chinese communist party at different periods is of great theoretical and practical significance for a deep understanding and all-around development of socialist civilization construction with Chinese characteristics.Guided by the basic theories of Maxist dialectic and historical materialism, utilizing the methodology of combining history with logic, this thesis attempts to reveal the contents and laws in civilization theories of Chinese Communist Party through delving into a large quantity of literature, and unfolds the chapters according to the internal logic of "from the abstract to the concrete". First of all, a foundation for the whole thesis is laid by expounding the theoretical and practical significance in studying civilization theories of Chinese Communist Party. Secondly, researches are made according to the logical order into the historical evolution of civilization theories of Chinese Communist Party from its initial attempt to its final formation and perfection, including different civilization theories at different historical periods of Chinese Communist Party. Thirdly, analyses on civilization theories of Chinese Communist Party are further made from three aspects: their major contents, mutual relations and building principles. And finally, the basic experience of Chinese Communist Party in building civilization theories is summed up.
