Study On The Dispute Between China And Vietnam In The South China Sea-the Approaches Of Geopolitics

The South China Sea has very important strategic and economic significance for China. Because of its important location, the South China Sea Islands and its sea area were concerned by the regional and non-regional states. From 1970s, they were occupied and partitioned by neighboring states, so, this came into being South China Sea issue. With this background, the dispute between China and Vietnam on South China Sea is emerged.The dissertation as a geopolitical perspective deliberates, analyzes, and expounds the dispute over the South China Sea between China and Vietnam in the aspects of theory, situation, and countermeasure relative all-sidedly, On the basis of researching theories and analyzing situation, The dissertation forms a logic structure and system which thinks over countermeasure in the result.The dissertation is composed of five Chapters, the main points of the research are as follows: the discrimination of geopolitics, is a theoretical section, sets forth the basic connotation of geopolitics, sizes up the main scope of geopolitical research: geography, pattern, strategy. It lays a theoretical foundation for deeper studying in the following chapters. Geopolitical environments of the South China Sea Analysis, on the basis of theories relating to geopolitical environments, analyzes research scope of the South China Sea, analyzes situation of geopolitical environments in the South China Sea, probes into the geopolitical factors which influence the South China Sea disputes. The regional and non-regional states & geopolitical pattern of the South China Sea between China and Vietnam , analyzes causes of the South China Sea dispute pattern between China and Vietnam ; unearthes some quomodoes of infiltrated by Vietnam in the South China Sea ;China's idea and defendence about its sovereignty as well as interests in the South China Sea is discussed. The pertinence of other ASEAN countries related on the dispute between China and Vietnam is also analysed. The influence on this dispute brought about by countries outside this region, such as America and Japan, is expatiated separately.
