A Study Of The Social Equity Issues Of Migrant Workers During Building A Harmonious Society

Building a harmonious society proposed by the CPC Central Committee in the new period which is a major strategic decision. Fairness and justice is an important goal of building a harmonious society and the fundamental properties. "Migrant workers" is a special group in the process of urbanization in China. The emergence of this group has injected vitality into the city, accelerated the pace of urban development, made grate contributions for the construction and development of the city. In real life, however, they are subjected to discrimination and unfair treatment in the area of political life, employment, education and social welfare, which formed a great contrast between their social costs, created the unbalance of their psychological, led to the difficulties of their economic life and the lacking of guarantee of their children's education and social insurance. Such phenomena have triggered a series of social contradictions. Sometimes, such social contradictions have intensified, which has seriously affected the fair, restricted the process of the construction of a harmonious society. Such facts as a in-depth study of migrant workers social justice issues, properly handling the relationship between social costs and social benefits and every member of society committing to social responsibility and sharing social wealth not only formed the ultimate goal of building a harmonious society, but also a basic condition for maintaining social stability.This article was divided into four chapters to discuss the social equity issues of migrant workers during building a harmonious society. The first chapter focuses on the form of the migrant workers, defining the concept and characteristics of migrant workers. Then designs evaluation index of social equity of migrant workers from the basic theory of social justice. Chapter II elaborates that maintenance of social justice issues of migrant workers is important to build a socialist harmonious society. Chapter III focuses on the concrete manifestation of social unfair problems of migrant workers, and then based on this analysis the deep-seated reasons of the social unfair problems of migrant workers.
