China and the State of Israel were established almost in the same era. Although Israel is the first middle-east country who recognized China, it is the last country in this region that established foreign relations with China. The bilateral relations experienced long term non relationship. With the improvement of Sino-U.S relations,and new pragmatic Chinese leaders be on stage,and the appearance of the progress in the Peace process, China gradually adjusted its policy towards Israel. The two countries worked together towards the establishment of diplomatic relations. After the establishment of diplomatic relations,the bilateral relations develop very fast, which is in both countries'interests.After the establishment of diplomatic relations, the bilateral relations develop very fast, especially in trade and agriculture, but the bilateral relation also meets with some obstacles,and the bilateral relation was disturbed by factors from America,Taiwan and Iran and etc. After the cold war,America consider China as a potential threat and take an policy of entrainment towards China, and it stopped Israeli from selling weapons to China, which had a negative effect on Sino Israeli relations. Secondly, The 9 ? 11 event intensified the contradiction between America and the Islamic world, as Israel's solid backing, the United States has stepped up attack against the Middle East country which is supposed to be a threat to the safety of the state of Israel, including invading Iraq,controlling the process of Iran's nuclear weapons, supporting for Israel to fight against Hezbollah in Lebanon and so on. China,as a permanent member of the United Nations, bears the responsibility to promote regional peace and stability. Israel's hard-line attitude is an important factor that effects the bilateral relations. The Taiwan issue in Sino-Israeli relations is also an important topic.This paper attempts to analyze the national interest in the bilateral relations and what's the reason for these national interests, so as to face the future direction of Sino-Israeli relations and have a better understanding of the bilateral relations.
