An Empirical Research On Rural Residents' Subjective Well-being

Rural residents as the largest social group, their living conditions have been cause for concern. With the deepening of reform and opening up and improvement of living standards, social concerns of rural residents living has been transferred from material life to Spiritual life. Thus, study on well-being of rural residents is increasingly important. In this paper, rural residents in Anhui Province as the research object, through field survey questionnaires released to obtain first-hand survey data,the author has studied systematically on the current situation of well-being of rural residents, using statistical methods of descriptive analysis, reliability and validity analysis, etc.This paper is divided into six chapters. The first chapter introduces a brief description of research methods and innovations and research background, purpose and significance, research framework and technical route of the article. In the second chapter, after some important concepts defined, the author generalizes and summarizes the relevant researches and theories. Before questionnaire reliability and validity analyzed, the third chapter describes the research design ideas, such as the setting of theoretical models and hypotheses, the design of study sample and questionnaire, statistical analysis, survey methods and procedures. The fourth chapter describes the distribution of survey data and evaluates subjective well-being of rural residents in general and its six areas. In the fifth chapter, the author analyzes factors of affecting rural residents in subjective well-being and three typical cases in detailly. The sixth chapter summarizes the conclusions of this paper, and provides the corresponding policy recommendations and further research direction.This study has several conclusions.1. Rural residents have a happy life on the whole.2. Satisfaction between six different dimensions of Subjective well-being of rural residents exists differences.3.Sex, residence,education level and job status have a significant effect on the subjective well-being; Rural residents of different ages and marital status have not significantly difference in the evaluation their subjective well-being.4. As a supplementary survey, case study not only verifying survey conclusions,but also founds that living or studying of children of rural residents have a great impact on their well-being.
