Research On Factors Affecting Farmers’ Happiness In Anhui Province

Great changes have taken place in China due to the reform and opening-up policy. Especially after entering the new millennium, farmers’material and spiritual life have improved a lot. Research on farmers’ happiness should not be limited to the living conditions, but also should pay attention to their spiritual life, which are the mental and psychological satisfaction. It is significantly important that we analyze quality of farmers’ life in the psychological way and grasp their expectations and mental status. In this way, we can work out some more effective plans and policies.This study aims at researching on the sense of happiness of farmers based on the reality in Anhui Province. Proceeding from the data collected through 508 questionnaires and using statistical description analysis, After understanding the factors which affect the happiness.we get 16 variables which are gender, age, culture level, physical condition and so on; and these variables can be divided into 5 dimensions, which are personality traits, physical and mental health, economy, social environment, social interaction. Then we concluded the characteristics of each variable. Furthermore, based on the predecessors’ research results, we explore and analyze the main factors affecting the farmers’sense of happiness in Anhui province, then we provide the government with suggestions on how to improve the farmers’sense of happiness and implement’Agriculture, rural areas and farmers’better.Firstly, according to the research and the correlation analysis, we get the result that factors affecting sense of happiness in descending order are the housing conditions, stylistic satisfaction, pension problems, environment, new farmers satisfaction, neighborhood relations, physical condition, party membership, personal income, gender, educational level, gender, educational level, culture and entertainment spending, type of work, age, cadres. Among these factors, the pension problem, new farmers satisfaction, neighborhood relations is moving in the opposite direction with the sense of happiness and the rest of the factors are in the same direction. Secondly, we apply the ranking and selecting model to analyze the relationship between variables and happiness and we can find each factor’s contributions to the farmer’s happiness in Anhui province. According to this, we find that housing conditions, satisfaction of culture and pension problems have significant influence on happiness. Through the above two kinds of analysis, suggestions are provided as follows: strengthen environmental renovation, increase rural basic construction and increase new farming metastatic spending, further improve the old-age security system, strengthen the rural education, etc.
