It is the 21st century. With the development of the message technology, especially the internet, the news media is playing the bigger and bigger role. How to treat and use the news media correctly is the incarnations of the government's public manage level. We should strengthen the capability of public relations with news media of the leading cadres and study to treat, to use and to run the news media better. It is a problem for the leading cadres to have to face and need to pay more attention.With the development of the media especially the new media, we have lived in the high-mediation world in which the public opinion is more and more valued. In such a environment, those who pays little attention to the media and is not good at dealing with the media will be punished in the end.The relationship between the leading cadres and the media is always the focus in the political life and can change the political situation in some special case. The leading cadres should be familiar with the regular pattern. It is the base requirements for the leading cadres to build their personal image and make good use of the media.One of the most important judgments for the leading cadres'maturity is how to deal with the media. The capability of medial public relations to leading cadres not only affects the personal image but also reflect the qualifications of government-manage.Based on the contents of the capability of media public relations for the leading cadres, the thesis lists the performances and root cause lacking the capability of media public relations in which the author propose the countermeasures against the leading cadres to strengthen the capability of media public relations in the new epoch.
