The geographical position of Korean Peninsula in the U.S. strategic framework, which produced by the America's pursuit and concern on hegemony, and the United States implement containment strategy on Korean Peninsula from this significance.According to the state identity theory, the United States implement the containment strategy on Korean Peninsula, through two ways that strengthen US-ROK Alliance and regulate North Korean, based on the different role relationship. However, the Korean peninsula divided, as well as the closed state of North Korea enables the United States to achieve this strategy. Two Koreas have the knowledge that they are enemies. So they concern on their security interests extremely. In this case, South Korean more depends the United States on military. This is the platform for the containment strategy of the United States on Korean Peninsula. At the same time, the closed state of North Korea has been the barrier to closer regional cooperation among the states, which enables the United States to achieve the purpose of containing the peninsula and the surrounding power. From the perspective of great power intervention, the knowledge that they are enemies between two Koreas provides reason for the United States to intervene the Korean peninsula. Therefore, only the solution to identity conflicts may change the USA's Korean peninsula strategy. According to the state identity theory, collective identity formation is a lift to the enmity. So Koreas collective identity formation will transfer the strategic direction of the United States. As for China, fist, we should clarify the identity of the two Koreas. Second, we should seek the path to promote common development and cooperation. At the same time, we should create a favorable external environment to the collective identity collective identity formation of Koreans.
