| Study form the angle of the geopolitics, Korean peninsula has its especial influence of geo-strategy for that it assembles the advantages of the P.R.C,the U.S.A,Russia and Japan. That is right to say that the Northeast Asia is the key to the safety of the Asia-Pacific, and so is Korean peninsula to the northeast Asia. The adjacent major states always regard Korean peninsula as the pivotal area that they must strive for. To a great extent, Korean peninsula has becomes one of the important factors that influence the relationships between four major states. For this reason, the four major states are exerting themselves to find out a solution of peace problem in Korean peninsula.Take a comprehensive view of concerned researches of Korean peninsula, most of scholars generally put their focal point on unify problem and safe problem, and it is no doubt that these two aspects are the core of what is called " Korean peninsula problem". Ultimately, The former is a local problem at which aims solving the remainder problem of history, and its protagonists are Korea and North Korea. The latter is a comprehensive one; it set herself to construct the new order of future,of which main body are the P.R.C,the U.S.A,the Russia and Japan. Judge from the actual state, the unification of peninsula is still a chronic process and compared with it, the peace problem is more urgent. In addition to this reason, the four states all pay much attention to the development of the Korean peninsula's situation for that their entire springboards are their own national security. However, the ravelment of four states' interests consumedly increasing the degree of difficulty of settling Korean peninsula's peaceful problem, and it delays the forming course of northeast Asia's security system. It is my design to study Korean peninsula's peace issue from the finish of the Cold War, the thesis's main content is the relations between four major powers and South Korea & North Korea ,their policy towards South Korea and North Korea and four states' status and effects in Korean peninsula's peace issue. The six parts of this thesis are given as follows: (1) The emergence and development of Korean peninsula's peace issue. The arising of this problem is primarily attributes to three factors: aggression by other states; contention of great powers; the conflict between South Korea and North Korea. The core of the peaceful problem in Korean peninsula is nucleus crisis. The situation of Korean peninsula often develop on edge, which just indicates the remainder Peace mechanism that bequeathed from the cold war is too weak to give full play to its proper effect. (2)The U.S.A's affection in Korean peninsula's peaceful issue. As the ally of South Korea and the main punisher to North Korea, the U.S.A has the prominent influence to the security posture of Korean peninsula. The trend of relations between the U.S.A and North Korea is the first main influence factor that controls the state of peninsula. Though the U.S.A s' peninsula policy still roots in its "The whole world strategy", it have become more practical and is propitious to maintain the peninsulas peace.(3)Japan's affection in Korean peninsula's peaceful issue. As the ally of the U.S.A, Japan's peninsula policy is following along the United States'. Nevertheless, Japan still cannot play a big part in Korean peninsula for its aggressive history and some realistic factor.(4)The Russia's affection in Korean peninsula's peaceful issue. Russia's influence in Korean peninsula is weaker than the Soviet Union for its strength has fallen into a decline after the Cold War. But Russia never gives up trying for its benefits in Korean peninsula and aggrandize its importance in Korean peninsula by restructuring its peninsula policy constructively.(5)The P.R.C's affection in Korean peninsula's peaceful issue.
