Issue of intellectuals is a special and complex issue in China's modernization process. Studing it seriously not only help to solve the actual needs of intellectuals issue but also has an important significance on promoting the modernization of China.After the founding of the People's Republic of China, intellectuals policy experienced a tortuous process. From 1949 to 1956, Chinese Communist Party adopted a "pack down", "unity, education, and reform" policy. From 1956 to the first half of 1957, the Party made a scientific thesis that intellectuals are a part of the working class. On basis of this, the Party had the"Hundred Flowers" policy for implementation. The second half of 1957 to 1962, the Party's intellectuals policy emerged dislocation. Although it had been adjusted in 1962, but there was not a material impact.1962 to 1966, as the further development of "leftist" mistakes, the Party's intellectuals policy was on the decline.1966 to 1976, the Party's intellectuals policy had seriously flawed, intellectual experience the disaster of the "Cultural Revolution",which cause huge losses.1976 to present, through the restoration of order, the Party's intellectuals policy return to the correct path of Marxism, the Party's intellectuals policy has been into a new era.It gave us a profound revelation by reviewing the evolution process of the Party's intellectuals policy after the founding of the People's Republic of China. We should strengthen political work of intellectuals,innovate the specific management ways,and bring the market mechanism in the human resources allocation into play so that we can take the intellectuals work into the legal and standard track.
