Objective:This study focused on investigating the job satisfaction status and its influencing factors about student village officials, in order to find out the work status of them and find out the psychological differences between village officials with high satisfaction and low satisfaction, and provide reference for student village officials'selection, training, and appointment.Methods:This study used quantitative research and qualitative research method. In quantitative study,229 student village officials were selected in Shanxi Province who conducted a job satisfaction survey and internal-external locus of control scale test facilities. In qualitative study,8 subjects were selected. Using depth interviews, the qualitative study selected information from the outline of interview, and formed coding categories for inductive analysis based on grounded theory required.Conclusion:(1) Student village officials'job satisfaction were in general at the middle level, where in power and enhance the satisfaction were the lowest.(2) There is no significant difference on gender of the student village officials'job satisfaction.(3) Generally speaking, the married student village officials are more satisfied than the unmarried, especially in flexibility, serviceability, and policy implementation, which have significant differences.(4) If the student village officials education level are higher, whose education higher, the satisfaction is lower, especially in flexibility, sense of achievement and power, which have significant differences.(5) It is lower satisfaction the student village officials who study liberal arts in university than them who study science. In mainly it is manifested in social status, autonomy and management skills.(6) The student village officials'job satisfaction shows very significant difference in district. In overall satisfaction, the student village officials in Northern Shanxi area are the lowest in satisfaction, and the ones in southern area scored the highest satisfaction. But in creativity, independence, policy implementation, upgrade, power, serviceability, social status, pay and working conditions, the student village officials in Northern Shanxi area are the lowest in satisfaction. In moral values, stability, co-workers, the student village officials in Taiyuan are the lowest. In the autonomy, the student village officials in Lvliang Region are the lowest.(7) There are extremely significant correlation among student village officials'control point and the factors of job satisfaction. Internal control student village officials are more content than External control student village officials.(8) The Qualitative research shows that:Student village officials, with high professional identity, good interpersonal relationship, positive emotions character, responsibility and high sense of achievement are more content than the one with low professional identity, worse interpersonal relationship, negative emotions character, no sense of responsibility and low sense of achievement.Student village officials' job satisfaction will affect their enthusiasm for work and achievement. Therefore, I made the following recommendations:(1) We can also put locus of control measure in the selection of student village officials, give more attention to external control type of Student village officials, which will enhance the student village officials'overall job satisfaction.(2) There should be appropriate training to the selected student village officials.(3) In the appointment process, government departments should give them a platform to perform themselves. The student village officials will have a high job satisfaction.
