A Study On The Chinese Netizen's Political Participation Of Contemporary China: The Structural Perspective

With the popularity of computer and internet applications, network of political participation and political scholars begun to attract attention. Chapter one introduces theories of political participation, as well as its main form and constraints. The meaning and characteristics of political participation is also studied in this chapter. Chapter two studies the contemporary network political participation, analysis its constructive role and its defects respectively. Chapter three studies the subjective structure which can be divided into individuals and organisations. The former is formed with network political elites, activists and common participants; the later is the network society. Chapter four analyses the objective structure, from the perspective of diversifying network participation and network political information. Chapter five shows the process structure of network political participation, starting from the emerging of network incidences, converting of the participants to the effacing of the participation.
