A Study On The Running Mechanism Of Shareholding Cooperative Rural Community In Ningbo

As the reconstruction of rural collective economic organizations and institution innovation, the shareholding cooperative system deserves the honor of another important institution after the household contract responsibility system and adapted to the development of economy, industrialization and civilization. In the 80s of the 20th century, some rural collective economic organizations tried to establish rural community shareholding cooperatives in some provinces such as Guangdong, Peking, Jiangsu,Zhejiang, Shanghai and Shandong. After that, this new institution developed quickly and welcomed widely for its excellent economic and social benefits. On the other hand, this new institution also educed many problems. All these problems need to be studied and settled. This paper focused on the experience of Ningbo rural community shareholding cooperative, and extended to the practice of the running mechanism in other areas. Based on theories of the Institution Changing, the Principal-Agent and residual claimant, the paper advanced suggestions on deepening and improving the running mechanism of rural community shareholding cooperatives.
