Present Situation And Consideration Of Moral Education For The Prisoners In China

At the present time, there are some problems on moral education of prisoners in China that should be given particular attention. Based on the theory of ethics, this paper studies the present situation of moral education for the prisoners in china through using literature research, questionnaires and other methods, putting forward the problems of moral education for the prisoners, pointing out the reasons and proposing some countermeasures to solve the problems.This paper first describes the purposes, the guiding ideologies and basic principles of moral education for the prisoners that can provide a guide for developing of moral education for the prisoners.Secondly, based on the data analysis of questionnaire, this paper summarizes the contents and methods of moral education for the prisoners, and the following problems such as the content and form of moral education for the prisoners, the overall quality of police, social help and education, the prison system and the environment are brought out.At the third place, we find out four reasons of the problems above, including the lacking contents of moral education for the prisoners, the single manner, weakness of education and reform of police, imperfect social assistance and education, and the prison system and the environment needing to be improved.Finally, for the reasons above, corresponding countermeasures are put forward to improve the effectiveness of moral education for the prisoners in China.
