Study On Accelerating Township Government Function In Coordinating Urban And Rural Development

The government function is the role that is in the process of political and economic development of society and the role of the duties. It is also what government does in daily life and the fundamental aspects in government affairs. As the low level government organization, the main management and service object of a township government is the Chinese country and vast peasantry which are the link of the "three rural". It is very important to convert the function of township government and to achieve the urban and rural coordination. This article mainly discuss this topic from the following several aspects.First, through the analysis to the necessity of township government functions transformation and the analysis of the situation now that we believe township government pay attention to the "three rural". And they neglect the construction and the management of the township government itself, in the same time; they also neglect the public goods and the public service. Second, we give the definition of the township government function. We believe that the economic development will be the core and the key point to improve the urban construction under the background of urban and rural town development function. It is also should meet the target of public products and public service. I also analysis the function of township government of promoting urban and rural development and accelerating the construction of urbanization. Third, through a case analysis in the town of eastern Chongqing, I analysis the shortcomings of the development of the township government. Finally, I put forward countermeasures and suggestions in accelerating township government function change and raising its ability.
