At present, China is in a period of social transition and readjustment of the economic structure. Old social structure was changed. The economic structure of our country is going through enormous and deep changes. Benefit demand begins to be diversified. But the new social order has not yet completely established, coupled with the increase of the uncertain element influencing social stability. As a result, emergent group accident is more and more frequently. As a kind of social phenomenon, emergent group accident is closely related to the society, economic, politic, cultural environment.Although the patterns of emergent group accident are different, the core reason of them is conflicts of interest. In final analysis, it means the result of social development is not reasonable distributed. Some people do not enjoy the benefits of the reform and development. Some cost and external effects of the social development are transferred to the disadvantaged groups. They feel their own interests are not met. Someone think their interests had been violated and not been timely and effectively solved.The emergent group accident has been serious social problems which are challenging the government ability. Therefore, it is very significant that analyzing the source of emergent group accident and the method to respond to the accident deeply.Firstly, this article reviewed the theoretical studies and research status of the emergent group accident in decision-making at home and abroad; secondly, from the theoretical level, this article analyze the definition and characteristics of emergent group accident. And then, this article analyzes the current characteristics of emergent group accident from the reality of our country; thirdly, from the perspective of benefit coordination, I discuss the profit-driving source of emergent group accident; fourthly, this article chooses the taxi-strike in Chongqing as example. It analyzes the characteristic of this strike as a typical emergent group accident.
