A Research On The Relationship Between Civil Society And Democracy Politics In China

People's democracy is the life of socialism and developing socialist democracy is our consistent goal of the party. The report of the 17th Representative Conference of the Communist Party of China point out that we should strengthen civic education, strengthen the education on the awareness of the citizen's obligations, establish the idea of the socialist democracy and the rule of law, freedom and equality, fairness and justice, and support the people's organizations such as Trade Union, the Communist Youth League, the Women's Federation, etc. to carry on the work according to the law and each rules respectively and to participate in social management and public service so as to safeguard their legitimate rights and interests. This shows that our party and the government has been committed to building democracy and begin to notice the positive role of civil society to democratic politics, a path to democracy, which is to display the people groups and civil society's function, based on the civic awareness'increase. The relationship between civil society and democracy is increasingly being valued by the people. The thesis tries to analyze systematically the relationship between civil society and democratic politics. It includes five parts, i.e. the introduction, an overview of civil society theory, relations between civil society and democratic politics, the formation characteristics and problems of country's civil society, and the training of our civil society to promote democratic development.The introduction part mainly introduces the cause of the title selected, the meaning of the research, and the current research conditions of the relationship between civil society and democratic politics. Then it outlines the process western civil society produces, the civil society concept historical evolution, and it defines the concept of civil society and introduces civil society's structural elements and the basic value. In relationship between civil society and democratic politics section,the theses describes the promotion of democracy on civil society and emphasizes the positive role the civil society plays towards democracy, and then it mentions different views about the significance of civil society on democracy. China civil society's formation characteristics and problems part gives a brief introduction about its process, difference from the characteristics of western civil society, problems which are not conducive to democracy. In fostering the development of China's civil society to promote democracy part it put forward to different ways to the construction of civil society in China from various aspects.
