Participatory Democracy And Building The Harmonious, Interactive Relationship Between State And Society

There have been much achievements science China's reform and opening up 30 years ago. however, the political reform and democratization process remains slow. This dissertation is under the background of the economic and social transformation and democratic development process during 30 years' China reform and opening up policy, as an example of Zeguo's "Democratic Consultation'", to research the significance of participation. consultation and interaction on building a harmonious and stable state-social relationship. Firstly, this dissertation through literature review of the state-society relation theory and participatory democracy to reveal the developmental track of democratic theory, and find out the suitable theoretical model of our political development; secondly, the paper through the review of the China's decentralized reform history to analysis the main path of the democratization process, rethink the reason of current interests diversity, much conflict, and the group events, and make the proposition that through the promotion of participatory democracy to reconstruct"triangular" relationship of the central, local, and the people; Finally, this dissertation through the empirical research of Zeguo's "Democratic Consultation" on questionnaires be conducted to prove the effectiveness of participatory democracy for the development of harmonious interaction state-society relationship, analyze the obstacles and make recommendations for improvement, and then make a response for the Huntington's "strong government".
