| English Homework in junior high school is an extension of classroom teaching, it is also an essential part for the effect of classroom teaching, but the design of homework is a weak link in teaching, it is necessary to research the design of English homework in junior high school, so as to better enhance the effect of classroom teaching.The purpose of this research is to investigate and research factors that affect the design of homework, under the guidance of the Social Constructivism theory, Krashen's input hypothesis, and multiple intelligences theory, homework to establish the design principles, on the basis of this, provide a number of specific cases and analyze, in order to find the better design of homework.The author read a lot of literature at home and abroad on impact of factors that affect the design of homework, using the method of questionnaire survey, launched an investigation into the factors that affect the design of homework one by one. The subjects of the study are from No.5 middle school in Benxi City, Liaoning Province, including 241 students and 16 teachers. In the questionnaires students and teachers respectively discuss the purpose, the form and content, the quantity and the difficulty of homework, students and teachers also provided their favorite and effective design of English homework.The results show that the various factors of designing homework including the purpose of homework, the form and content of homework, the quantity of homework, and the difficulty of homework have different effects on the classroom teaching. The study also shows that most of the students believe that the purpose of homework is to consolidate knowledge and improve test scores.This shows the current English homework in junior high school indeed shows better results in helping students to master basic knowledge and basic skills, but in the aspect of raising interest in learning, promoting students' understanding of cultural differences and fostering teamwork, innovation, etc, the results are not very ideal. This requires giving more consideration to these factors in the design of homework, so as to effectively enhance classroom teaching. The author believes this research will help researchers who engage in the design of English homework in junior high school and educators in junior high school. |
