Today in the 21st century, with economic globalization, knowledge-based economy dominated, and peace and development have become the theme of development, more and more schools have been aware of the shortcomings of traditional teaching. That is, it neglects cooperation but emphasizes on individual competition, "I win and you lose". As education reform is deeper and deeper, English teaching modes are also changing. One of the teaching methods is interactive teaching. Its main theory foundation is classroom instructional technology, developmental theory and constructivism. The so-called "interactive teaching" is that the teachers inspire and guide students during the teaching so that students can think and participate actively in the activities in the class by interaction with each other to achieve construction of knowledge in the harmonious psychological atmosphere. The main purpose of this study is to test whether an interactive teaching mode in high school can improve students'participation rate in classroom, arouse interest in English learning and improve score to foster the desire to lifelong learning. From August,2009 to late January,2010, the experiment lasted six months. I carried out the research on interactive learning in one of my classes. The research is intended to explore three aspects as below:First, its feasibility in senior school, second, its effect on changing the learners'attitude, cooperative awareness and ability, collective concept relationships between students-teachers and students-students, third, its effect on the teacher's self-cognition and behavior alteration. I divide ten groups in my class according to the students' academic records, personalities, and the principle of "intra-group heterogeneousness and inter-group homogeneousness". Then, I managed to unite the students'thought for cooperative sense and adopt three kinds of learning styles in the learner-centeredness, auditor, visual and kinesthetic to interact by task-designed according to text content. In such a way each group member realizes that he is necessary to the task completion and to help others and finally they are in individual improvement. From the research process and data collection, the research has achieved the predicted results, which show that interactive learning is feasible and effective in the senior school. It makes learners experience the happiness of cooperation and have a great promotion in the relationship between students and teachers and student-student and also raises the interest of learners and improves their learning results. Their cooperative awareness and ability are also improved. Besides, I, as the teacher and the action researcher, benefit a lot in this process.
