The Research Of University Ecological Civilization Education

Since the first UN conference on the environment in 1972 adopted the "Declaration of United Nations Conference on Human Environment",put forward the slogan of"only one earth",reminded the world to concern the environmental issues, people's cognition of ecological environment had become deeper and deeper. In the understanding of the ecological environment, China also experienced a gradual deepening process. Since 1990s, China began to pay attention to ecological environment to secretary-general Hu Jintao put forward the concept of "ecological civilization" for the first time in the 17th National Congress of the CPC report. He pointed that basically forming the industrial structure, growth and consumption patterns which save energy and protect environment. Recycling economy achieve a considerable scale, the proportion of renewable resources increased significantly. Primary pollutant discharge has been brought under effective control, the environmental quality has been improved significantly. Set up the idea of ecological civilization strongly in the whole society." By now, our understanding of the ecological environment rise to a new height.Vigorously advocate the construction of ecological civilization today, ecological civilization education should be an important part of ideological and political education. Psychology Doctor Daniel Goleman in Harvard University pointed in his newly published book 10 ideas that changed the world—for concerning the ecological environment, it's just not enough by recycling waste, buying eco products, using energy-saving lightbulbs, the key is to change the way of our thinking. Goleman emphasised that the best way to change the "ecological ignorance"is education. He predicted the campus would launch a green revolution that could completely change the students'way of learning scientific knowledge .Just as Goleman emphasised that the best way to change the "ecological ignorance"is education, this paper considers it necessary to enhance the university students'view of ecological civilization by ideological and political education. Thus focusing on university ecological civilization education, firstly, this paper discusses the relationship between ecological civilization construction and university ideological and political education, then draws a conclusion that ecological civilization education should be an important part of ideological and political education in the new period. Secondly this paper selects 16 university students in Anhui Province for the following two survey—for students'view of ecological civilization investigation and for university ecological civilization education situation about carrying out. Through detailedly analysising of the survey datas, The author finds that university students'view of ecological civilization is incompatible with social responsibilities which they hold. University ecological civilization education is not optimistic. Thirdly, in view of investigation result, this paper studies the teaching resources of university ecological civilization education, hereby, this paper discusses the ecological ideas in china traditional culture, Marxism ecological view, the ecological ideas in the Scientific Concept of Development, the ecological ideas of Western in modern times and contemporary and so on. Universities can learn from these teaching resources to enhance the students'view of ecological civilization by ideological and political education. Lastly, Based on the investigation and analysis of the precedingnior statement, this paper puts forward the ways and means of university ecological civilization education, the concrete ways include bringing ideological and political education into full play in university ecological civilization education, improving university teachers'level of ecological civilization education, making for use of the university culture's potential education function, giving full play to the media and environmental NGO. In a word, the author hopes that these suggestions can improve and strengthen the effectiveness of university ecological civilization education.
