Research Into Application Of Rough Set Theories In Teaching Quality Evaluation In Senior Vocational Schools

Rough Set, which was put forward by Pole Z. Pawlak in 1982,has been considered as an excellent mathematical tool to deal with uncertain and vague description of objects.Its main thought is:keeping the constant premise of the information system classification ability,the problem's classification or decision rule is derived by knowledge reduction. It is unnecessary to provide any knowledge outside of the data which needs to be processed,and just makes use of the equal value relations to measure the indetermination degree of knowledge, so avoids the error which is brought about by subjective evaluation of knowledge.In recent years,as an important part of soft computing,rough set has been widely used in many areas, especially in the area of pattern recognition,machine learning,knowledge discovery,knowledge acquistion,and decision analysis etc.Many researchers pay attention to the study of the algorithm using rough set approach.The attributes reduction and decision rule generation are the kernel contents of rough set theory.With the in-depth development of the nationwide assessment of higher education, how to promote the establishment of a teaching quality evaluation system which suits for the situation of universities,assures the teaching quality,realizes the self-monitoring and achieves a virtuous circle through the implementation of the external evaluation becomes an imperative problem.Teaching quality evaluation system is an important approach to assure the educational quality.It is a non-linear process with many factors,changes and vagueness.Rough Set is a tool to solve the problems of large amount or uncertain data in teaching quality evaluation system.This text firstly introduces basic contents of Rough Set, including the information system,the equivalence class,the undifferentiated relation,the lower and upper approximate sets and so on, and particularly introduces the related contents of attribute reduction and nuclear in Rough Set.Secondly,this text sets up the teaching quality evaluation model and designs the process of teaching quality evaluation according to Rough Set; It also puts forward to teaching quality evaluation techniques and its calculation according to Rough Set and put forward to evaluation system and evaluation method of the rules of teaching quality evaluation.Lastly, the text makes use of coarse software Rosetta and teaching quality valuation from teachers of Wei Fang University of Science and Technology to verify the above theories, methods and techniques.
